About the Group

Georges Jacquemmoz founded Transports Jacquemmoz in 1955, in Modane, Savoie, along the French border with Italy. At that time, there were no Alpine tunnels open to road traffic, so goods transited from Italy to the international railway station in Modane, where the founder would collect them for delivery to the main cities of France. When the Mont Blanc highway tunnel opened in 1965, followed by Fréjus in 1981, our company grew substantially on the Franco-Italian route,  becoming the leading actor of hauling between France and Italy. Since 2003, when a Jacquemmoz office opened outside Lyon in Corbas, our domestic haulage business has developed significantly, such that our activities are now divided equally between international (France-Italy) and domestic (France-France) routes.

Each day, we place our expertise at the service of our clientele. This expertise is essentially based on our more than 50 years’ experience and on our values and the passion for transport that drives us in our work. Our company is dedicated to providing an excellent quality of service to our clients. Thanks to all our French and Italian personnel and to the strict procedures that we apply, we bring real added value to our services.
