Ecology is part of day to day life at Transports Jacquemmoz. We are constantly on the lookout for solutions that will better reconcile our business with environment concerns. For example, we are extremely attentive to emission standards. Our fleet of vehicles is fully compliant with the Euro 4, Euro 5 and, soon, Euro 6 standards.

To further reduce our fuel consumption – and the resulting CO² emissions – we are fitting our vehicles with aerodynamics options and adapted tyres (see the options).

Again from an ecological standpoint, we have become a major player on the Alpine Rolling Highway since it opened up to wide gauge vehicles in May 2012. Each week some 100 semi-trailers travel on the train between Aiton (Savoie) and Orbassano (Turin). This system allows us to protect the environment by saving 180 kg of CO² per trip.
